For pharmacies
Stop losing the patients who need a prescription.
When a patient needs a script, most pharmacies have to send them to an offsite doctor, and the patient, the prescription and the relationship often go with them. PRIME lets your clinic nurse give a full, guideline-driven consultation, with a doctor on call to review the script. The patient is diagnosed, treated and dispensed under your roof.
R950 a month · R55 per doctor-reviewed script · No set-up costs

The bigger picture
The pharmacy is becoming South Africa's front door to primary care.
For many South Africans, the pharmacy is the most accessible healthcare provider they have: open long hours, close to home, and no appointment needed. Pharmacy clinics are moving beyond dispensing into minor-ailment and preventive care.
But a pharmacy clinic hits a ceiling the moment a patient needs a prescription outside the nurse's scope. That is the gap PRIME closes, with a doctor on call who reviews the script remotely.

Where the revenue goes
Follow the patient who needs a script.
Every day, patients come to your counter with a problem that needs a prescription. What happens next decides who earns from that visit, and who earns from the next one.
Today: referred away
- The patient needs a script, so your clinic refers them to a doctor elsewhere.
- They pay that practice for the consultation.
- They may fill the script wherever is convenient, not necessarily with you.
- Their next visit, and their family's, goes to the practice that treated them.
With PRIME: treated in your pharmacy
- Your nurse consults with PRIME: full history, examination, diagnosis and guideline prescription.
- If the script is outside the nurse's scope, a doctor on call reviews it remotely and edits or signs it off.
- You earn the consultation fee, and dispense the medication on the spot.
- PRIME follows the patient up on WhatsApp, and the next visit comes back to you.
What it does for your pharmacy
A new revenue stream, built on care.
- 01
Consultation revenue
Charge for a full medical consultation in your pharmacy clinic. One pharmacy using PRIME has made R21,000 in profit from consultation fees alone.
- 02
Dispensing you would have lost
The script is written in your pharmacy, so the medication is dispensed in your pharmacy, instead of wherever the patient ends up after a referral.
- 03
Loyal, returning patients
Automated WhatsApp follow-ups keep your pharmacy front of mind, and patients come back to the place that made them better.
- 04
Scripts you can dispense with confidence
The Pharmacy Council places the onus on the pharmacist to confirm a prescription is valid. Scripts outside the nurse's scope are reviewed and signed off by an HPCSA-registered doctor.

A clinic run to guidelines
Every consultation follows the South African Standard Treatment Guidelines, with danger signs screened and a complete record kept.
- 06
Every customer, in their language
PRIME works in 21 languages, including all 11 official South African languages, so every patient can explain their problem in their own words.
Proof
Consultations that pay
One of the pharmacies using PRIME has made R21,000 in profit from its consultations alone, before counting a single rand of the medication it dispensed.
For a pharmacy, PRIME is not a cost centre. It is an additional revenue stream that also brings more patients to your counter.

Your questions, answered
Do we need a nurse in the pharmacy?
Yes. PRIME supports the professional nurse who consults in your pharmacy clinic. The doctor on call reviews only the scripts that are outside the nurse's scope.
Who reviews the scripts?
An HPCSA-registered doctor, who reviews the prescription and a structured case summary remotely, and edits or signs it off.
Does the patient have to go to a doctor for the script?
No. The review happens remotely, so the patient can be diagnosed, treated and dispensed in your pharmacy.
What do we charge the patient?
You set your own consultation fee. PRIME's cost is fixed and small, so the consultation fee, and the medication you dispense, are your revenue.
What does PRIME cost?
R950 a month, plus R55 for each script a doctor reviews, excluding VAT. There are no set-up costs.
