Questions

Who made PRIME?

PRIME was built by South African doctors, for the way primary care works in South Africa. Its treatment advice is based on the South African PHC Standard Treatment Guidelines and Essential Medicines List.

When does a doctor review my script?

Only when the patient's treatment is outside your scope of practice. PRIME then sends the prescription together with a case summary to an HPCSA-registered doctor, who edits it or signs it off. Everything within your scope you treat yourself.

What does a doctor review cost?

On the nurse plan, R55 per case a doctor reviews, and you only pay for reviews you use. Medical aid patients cost you nothing extra: the doctor's review is billed to their medical aid as a prescription. Everything else is included in your R550 monthly fee.

Who reviews my scripts?

An HPCSA-registered doctor invited by your clinic. Doctors join PRIME by invitation only, so you always know who is reviewing your patients.

How do the follow-ups work?

After the visit, PRIME checks in with your patients and lets you know who is not improving, so you can act before a problem grows.

What if PRIME is not right for me?

Nurses are covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within your first 30 days, we will refund you.

Which languages can I consult in?

All 11 official South African languages. PRIME shows the patient's words and the English translation side by side.

Do I need special equipment?

No. PRIME runs in the web browser on a computer or a tablet.

What is the waiting-room or pre-consultation device?

An optional screen or tablet in your waiting room where patients start their consultation in their own language. Total of 21 languages, including all 11 official South African languages. The 21-inch screen is R13,000 once-off or R1,200 a month; the tablet is R2,100 once-off or R350 a month (excl. VAT).
